Dr. Accola is a member of many medical organizations, including the Patient Advocacy Council, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Society of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgeons Council, and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Accola has been performing cardiac and thoracic surgeries at AdventHealth for over two decades and has performed over 9,000 cardiac surgical procedures.

Biography: Ansel Philip Amaral, MD, PhD, is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist who is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Amaral earned his Doctorate in Medicine and Philosophy at the Miller School of Medicine. He completed three fellowships, one in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in genetic arrhythmia syndromes at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys watching college sports, especially the Miami Hurricanes.
