Biography: I was born and raised in a small town in beautiful Upstate New York. Living in a rural area gave me the opportunity to see the important role that primary care physicians play in the community. I was mentored by a local family physician and from him I learned to engage with patients on a more personal level. As a result, my style and bedside manner is laid back, interactive, conversational and unique to each patient I encounter. Most recently I worked as a locum tenens (travel) physician in different cities and towns in Wisconsin. I was immediately drawn to the culture of medicine in the Midwest. I quickly developed strong collegial relationships and really enjoyed the level of engagement with patients. So, I decided that I wanted to permanently move to the Midwest to practice. My true passion is travel. I've traveled extensively on all six inhabited continents and I consider my travels the most fulfilling and satisfying experiences of my life. I am who I am today because of the diverse people and cultures that I have had the opportunity to experience in my travels.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Sicora specializes in a geriatric care with special interests in hypertension and cholesterol. He helps educate new physicians at the University of Minnesota Department of Family Practice and Community Health.

Care Philosophy: Many patients who have felt intimidated in other healthcare settings welcome Dr. Hauglands casual style and approach. He believes that no topic is out of bounds and wants to be sure that patients feel comfortable telling him what is really going on in their lives. He celebrates and welcomes cultural and ethnic diversity. Dr. Haugland provides primary and transgender & gender diverse care as well as geriatric medicine. He has interests in working with geriatric patients, patients with sexual health concerns, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA ) patients. He consistently works to support LGBTQIA health with a special interest in and working with transgender & gender diverse individuals. In partnership with a clinical pharmacist, Dr. Haugland works to complete hormone management for transgender & gender diverse patients including puberty blockers, when needed, for youth. He follows WPATH standards of care.
