Biography: Ali Yassen, MD, FSCAI, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with Henrico Cardiology Associates in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Yassen earned his Doctor of Medicine, graduating with honors, from Royal College of Surgeons at Ireland School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. He then completed an internal medicine internship and residency as well as a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System/Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond. He then completed fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, followed by an advanced second-year fellowship in interventional cardiology with specialty training in complex high-risk coronary interventions at North Shore University Hospital Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Yassen is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He specializes in caring for patients with cardiovascular diseases. He has experience with and advanced training in all aspects of percutaneous coronary interventions including complex coronary interventions. Dr. Yassen is also a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. When not seeing patients, Dr. Yassen enjoys spending quality time with his family.
