Care Philosophy: Many years ago, when I was contemplating going into medicine as a career I was often asked why. My response was typically because I wanted to help others. Throughout my career, that has been my goal ultimately to help those patients seeking my care. I have found it is best to begin by treating the patient as a person, an individual. Each patient should be treated with respect. I try to provide the same high-quality care for all of my patients regardless of age, health status, or other factors.

That means that I care explicitly about their long-term outcomes, the total picture of their lives, and addressing them with transparency and respect. The first step in treatment is always gathering information through direct discussion with the patient and through the judicious use of appropriate tests. My next step is education, so that patients and loved ones fully understand the condition, the treatment options, and their role in the process. Only after education can they become an active and integral part of the healthcare team and make informed decisions. My overall goal as a doctor is to provide patients with the most up-to-date urologic care delivered in a compassionate and personal way."

Care Philosophy: Internal medicine allows me to have extensive hospital training with a focus strictly on adult medicine, which is my preference. My special area of interest leans towards diagnosis and treatment of acute and sub acute illnesses.
