Biography: John A. Buza, MD, MS, is an orthopedic spine surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens. He specializes in conditions of the spine, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques and advanced technology using computer navigation. Dr. Buza treats patients with diseases and disorders, including adult scoliosis, herniated disk, spine arthritis, cancer of the spine, sciatica, and addresses fractures, infections, injury, and pain. Dr. Buza graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with his Master's in Human Nutrition and remained there to complete his medical degree. He served his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital and completed his fellowship at Norton Leatherman Spine Center at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout his training, Dr. Buza has been active in clinical research, publishing his work in medical books and journals, including Physical Sports Medicine, the American Journal of Orthopedics, and the Clinical Review of Bone Mineral Metabolism. He has presented his research at annual meetings for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the Orthopedic Research Society. Dr. Buza is a member of several professional organizations, including the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.

Biography: Dr. C. David Lin received his Medical Degree in 1999 from the University of Alabama - School of Medicine in Birmingham and is currently serving as Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and Attending Physiatrist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at the Weill Cornell Medical Center. He joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2003, prior to which he completed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York where he served as Chief Resident.He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. He is also certified in Medical Acupuncture.He has a clinical interest in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He has expertise in peripheral joint injections including ultrasound-guided procedures and botulinum toxin injections for spasticity. He treats patients with low back pain, joint pain, neurological injuries and strokes. Dr. Lin also has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He has also served as a peer reviewer for various medical journals.

Biography: Saad Abdul Sami Mir, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He received his B.A. from Duke University and M.D. from University of Florida College of Medicine where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Society. He was also chosen as a Doris Duke Clinical Research Scholar which he completed at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his internship at Massachusetts's General Hospital, neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and vascular neurology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Mir is board certified in Neurology and Psychiatry and is an expert in vascular and inpatient neurology. He was also chosen as a LEAD Fellow at New York Presbyterian Hospital where he will focus on becoming a leader in patient experience and patient reported outcomes.

Biography: Dr. Elan Goldwyn is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens located in Fresh Meadows, NY. He received his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Yeshiva University and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Goldwyn is the Director of Orthopedic Trauma Service at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and chose a career in Orthopedics because musculoskeletal conditions are some of the most common and debilitating ailments we suffer from.
