He attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine for medical school. He was awarded the Eli G. Alcorn and John B. Alcorn Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Ophthalmology for his research and dedication to ophthalmology as a medical student. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota where he received the Lee Best Resident Surgeon of the Year award. Following residency, Dr. Miller completed a prestigious anterior segment fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants, receiving subspecialty training in cornea, cataract, refractive, and external disease. Dr. Miller is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.Dr. Miller remains committed to teaching, research and helping under-served populations. He speaks fluent Portuguese. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife and four children. They enjoy many sports, skiing, hiking, fishing and biking together.
