Care Philosophy: As an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements, including the anterior hip approach, I strive to help patients get back to the activities that they enjoy most. Although joint replacement surgery may be the ultimate solution to arthritis for many patients, there are often non-operative treatments that can provide relief and improve quality of life. I enjoy getting to know my patients so that I can understand how arthritis affects their lives and so that we can discuss what treatment option best fits their individual goals. I earned my medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, completed my residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and completed a fellowship training in adult reconstruction in Scripps Clinic. I am currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). Biography: Dr. Greenleaf was born and raised in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Dr. Greenleaf obtained a degree in Biology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he was also a First Team All-Ivy League and Honorable Mention National All-American in wrestling. He went on to receive his medical degree with honors from Drexel University College of Medicine and then completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Finally, Dr. Greenleaf completed his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery at Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Training at an internationally renowned facility afforded Dr. Greenleaf exposure to the diagnosis and care of complex spinal conditions, particularly in degenerative conditions, adult deformity and spinal tumors. He also received training in cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques both at Harvard facilities and with the Neurosurgeons of Cape Cod group located in Cape Cod, MA. While in Pittsburgh and Boston, Dr. Greenleaf has performed research, authored textbook chapters, and presented at national meetings on various topics ranging from bacterial MRSA biofilms and Sports Hernia surgery to minimally invasive fixation of spine fractures and embolization of metastatic spine tumors.

Biography: Dr. Purtill is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. He is the author of numerous articles published in orthopaedic journals and has traveled extensively lecturing on orthopaedic topics. Dr. Purtill is a professor of orthopedic surgery and the Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine of Thomas Jefferson University. He is on the Board of Directors of OMEGA medical grants, on the editorial board of the Journal of Arthroplasty and a member of the executive committee of the Jefferson Medical College alumni association.

Biography: Dr. Wang is an Assistant Professor at Jefferson Medical College and has a special focus on the treatment of Hand and Wrist disorders. Raised in Bryn Mawr, PA, he is a Radnor High School alumnus. After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he was selected to the MD, PhD Program at Thomas Jefferson University. He completed orthopedic residency training at the University of California, San Diego (Level 1 Trauma Center) prior to being awarded a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. Upon completing his fellowship, he returned home to the greater Philadelphia area to serve the community that he grew up in. He is the recipient of clinical and scientific awards, authoring several peer reviewed articles.
