Care Philosophy: Dr Richard Urso graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, where he was on the Dean's Distinguished Honor Roll. He then went on to study medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr Urso was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society while studying there. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and then concluded with a fellowship in Oculoplastics and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Care Philosophy: Spending time with my patients explaining medical care and treating each patient on an individual basis.

Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits.Joshua Atkinson, M.D. graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. He then pursued his Doctorate of Medicine with a concentration in the Neurosciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Medical School. During his time in medical school he was involved in several ophthalmology and vision research projects, which have been presented on the national stage. Dr. Atkinson completed his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University Eye Institute. He was selected by the faculty to serve as the Chief Resident his senior year in addition to being awarded resident of the year. Dr. Atkinson then returned home to Houston and joined the Houston Eye Associates' team. Dr. Atkinson is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Atkinson is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who offers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes, and glasses, as well as many ocular complaints.
