He has advanced training in obesity medicine and weight-loss surgery, as well as in complex gastrointestinal and hernia surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Care Philosophy: Ajay Patel MD is a board certified general surgeon vascular surgeon and bariatric medicine physician who has been in practice since 1999 He was valedictorian of his class at Brandon Senior High School in Brandon Fla and earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors at the University of Miami in Coral Gables He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and then undertook his general surgery residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville S C where he earned the Joseph C McAlhany Award for Resident of the Year three consecutive years and completed his tenure as Academic Chief Resident He next completed advanced fellowship training in vascular surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis Dr Patel s special clinical interests include minimally invasive endovascular surgery peripheral vascular angiography wound care arterio venous fistulas and grafts and the surgical correction of abdominal aortic aneurysms

Biography: Keyur Chavda, MD, is a board certified bariatric and general surgeon who cares for patients ages 18 and older who speaks fluent English, Hindi, and Gujarati. In addition to bariatric surgery, Dr. Chavda treats patients who need various procedures, including acid reflux, hiatal hernia, gallbladder, spleen, stomach, and hernia surgeries. Dr. Chavda earned his medical degree from the B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. He then completed his general surgery residency at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania and a bariatric fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. Dr. Chavda is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati. In his spare time, Dr. Chavda enjoys reading, riding his bike, traveling, and spending time with his family.
