Care Philosophy: "Robotic surgery has truly changed the landscape of what we can do as surgeons to take care of our patients with the highest level of precision. We have an enhanced visualization which makes our dissections even more precise and with less blood loss. The ability of the instruments to maneuver and function is superior to what we can even do with our bare hands. I love being able to help my patients with the best technology and tools so they can return to work and enjoying their life as soon as possible after surgery."

Care Philosophy: Volunteering at Brackenridge Hospital, Dr. Sanchez discovered her passion for pediatric medicine. Dr. Sanchez loves her job every day because she can help children get the specialized care they need. She says she is "blessed to be a part of the journey" and is proud to help children and their families find solutions to their problems through her many aspects of work. With the unique insight she has gained as a pediatric surgeon, Dr. Sanchez is the co-Founder of Spoonie Threads along with Saba Kamaras. Launched in 2015, the company creates clothing for kids who have had ports or other external devices installed in their bodies. Spoonie Threads sells ostomy cover bags, antimicrobial insulin pump bags, G-tube pads, and clothing with access holes for feeding tubes or catheters. Dr. Sanchez makes custom outfits and does not release the product until the child it is designed for has approved it. Visit Spoonie Threads!

Care Philosophy: My philosophy towards my practice of surgery is very simple-treat others as I would want to be treated. In evaluating a patient my first priority is deciding whether an operation is necessary. If surgery is needed, I explain the procedure and recovery in straight forward terms. I always encourage questions; I feel the more someone understands about their healthcare, the better prepared they are for surgery and the recovery. Many procedures such as hernia repair, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, breast surgery and gallbladder surgery can now be preformed as an outpatient. Minimally invasive surgery is frequently an option and is preferred as long as it is just as safe as the more traditional surgical procedures. I strive for a quick recovery making my patients as comfortable as possible. No one wants to have surgery, but if it becomes necessary then care should be given as much empathy, safety and comfort as possible.
