Biography: Dr. Robert J. Strauch is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow problems in adults and children. He has a special interest in nerve problems of the upper extremity, including carpal tunnel syndrome, and in treating congenital hand disorders. The specialty of hand surgery melds together elements and principles of orthopedic, plastic, neurological and vascular surgery to restore and maximize hand and upper extremity function, whether wielding a jackhammer, throwing a baseball, or playing the violin. Dr. Strauch has authored and co-authored numerous articles in the field of hand surgery and is actively engaged in basic and clinical research. He served as President of the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand in 2006-2007. Dr. Strauch has been included in the list of New York Magazine's and "Best Doctors in New York" in addition to being regularly listed in America's Top Doctors. He is also an accomplished amateur magician and has been known to entertain as well as to diagnose and treat his patients. Biography: Margaret Vaughan, MD, FACP is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine practicing at New York Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley. She graduated from Cornell University and then earned her doctorate in medicine at SUNY Health Science Center Medical School in Syracuse, New York. She served her internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center as well as anesthesia residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan. She has served as clinical preceptor for medical students for New York Medical College in Valhalla. She's a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. She serves on several committees for the Medical Society of the State of New York. For over two decades Dr. Vaughan has been practicing adult medicine as an Internist in the outpatient setting in suburban New York.
