Her internship in Internal Medicine was completed at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She stayed on staff at the Duke University Medical Center for 2 years and then joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Hurwitz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Electrophysiology. She has served in the past as Chief of Cardiology at Medical City Hospital and is currently Director of the Electrophysiology Lab at Medical City Hospital, Dallas.Dr. Hurwitz is President of the North Texas Electrophysiology Society and has served on the board of healthcare policy for the Heart Rhythm Society and the Women's Leadership Initiative Task Force. She is currently on the board of directors for Heart Rhythm Society. Tamirisa, MD, FACC, FHRS.Dr. Tamirisa completed her training in Internal Medicine and served as Chief Resident at St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. She then went on to complete her General Cardiology, Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Cardiac MRI fellowships at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. She subsequently joined a large cardiology group (ProMedica Physicians Cardiology). She was part of ProMedica Health System in Ohio where she served as the Director of the Arrhythmia clinic, ProMedica Heart Institute Board member & Heart Institute EP council member. While maintaining active cardiology practice, she took a lead in building bridges across physicians, staff and administration. She was also the Director of Education. He provides comprehensive treatment of heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Ayub completed his internship and residency at Abington Memorial Hospital /Thomas Jefferson University. He served as a chief resident after finishing his internal Medicine residency. He then completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA where he also served as the chief fellow for two years. Then Dr. Ayub completed two years advanced cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Ayub has participated in various research projects and has published more than 45 articles, book chapters and abstracts. Dr. Ayub has presented his research at various local and national meetings. He has particular interests in the management of Atrial Fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia.

Biography: Ilana Zeltser, MD, is the Medical Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology at Medical City Children's Hospital and is a pediatric cardiologist at Medical City Children's Cardiology Specialists.Dr. Zeltser received her medical degree from New York University (currently NYU Grossman School of Medicine) in 1997, and went on to a Pediatric Residency at Mount Sinai school of Medicine. From there, she accepted a cardiology fellowship position at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from 2000-2003, and trained at CHOP for an additional year for subspecialty electrophysiology training. After completing her advanced fellowship training in 2004, she joined the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center as a dedicated electrophysiologist. Over the course of her tenure at UTSW, she was promoted to the position of Associate Professor of Pediatrics and was the Director of Pediatric electrophysiology services. After a productive and illustrious career at UT, she has joined the Heart Center team at Medical City Children's Hospital in Dallas, Texas.In her free time, Dr. Zeltser enjoys running, tennis, spending time with her husband and three children, and is a crazy sports fan (Go Stars!). Biography: Dr. Armando Yepes, MD, FACC is an interventional cardiologist with Dallas Cardiovascular Specialists at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Las Colinas. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and endovascular medicine. Dr. Yepes has been in practice in the Dallas Fort Worth area for more than 10 years, and brings 15 years of experience to Medical City Dallas. He previously held various leadership positions including Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Las Colinas Medical Center, Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at Medical City Las Colinas. Dr. Yepes attended Medical School at the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Seora Del Rosario at Bogot, Colombia. He completed his medical internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Miami School of Medicine. He has fellowships in cardiology from The University of Texas at Houston, Health Science Center Medical School and in interventional cardiology from Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix/University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is a Fellow the American College of Cardiology and Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Jack Schwade, MD, received his board certification in Texas in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has been on staff at Medical City since 1974 and was the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab from 1980 - 2009. Dr. Schwade has served on a number of committees at Medical City Dallas Hospital during his career and he has been the Director of Cardiology at the hospital since 1980. Dr. Schwade attended Rice University in Houston, Texas receiving his undergraduate degree in 1962. Upon graduation from the UT Southwestern Medical School with his medical degree in 1966, Dr. Schwade went on to complete his medical residency (1970-1972) and his fellowship (1972-1974) at Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital. His Cardiovascular Research fellowship was completed at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1974. Dr. Schwade is a leader in the cardiovascular field and attended numerous cardiology programs and scientific sessions through the American College of Cardiology and other organizations. He has also been published in numerous medical journals and publications throughout his career. Dr. Schwade served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corp in the 1960's as a Major and Battalion Surgeon in Germany. He is married and has three children.

Biography: Dr. Leslie Li joined North Texas Heart Center in 2023 after completing her Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at Tulane University. She earned her Medical Degree at Peking University Health Science Center in China and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Science at UT Southwestern. Following that, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine system in New York, followed by Cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Li is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. She is bilingual and speaks Mandarin.Dr Li's clinical interests include complex arrhythmia ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as a broad spectrum of device implantation including pacemaker, defibrillators and left atrial appendage closure device. In addition, Dr. Li is very passionate about research of cardiac diseases, particularly clinical outcomes of cardiac arrhythmias. She has conducted clinical studies in atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, and pacing-induced cardiomyopathy that yielded seminal publications in well recognized journals such as JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology, Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, etc. Outside of Medicine, she enjoys hiking, traveling and visiting museums.
