Biography: Dr. Amkieh earned his medical degree from Tichreen University, School of Medicine in Latakia, Syria. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey as well as a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Amkieh is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases. He specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular intervention, carotid stenting, device implant and management, nuclear cardiology as well as cardiovascular disease management and prevention. Dr. Amkieh practices at Ochsner Health Center – Covington with a second location in Bogalusa to be announced shortly.
