Care Philosophy: My role as a physiatrist and brain injury medicine specialist is to work together with the rehabilitation team to deliver individualized comprehensive care that focuses on each person's unique needs as no two brain injuries are alike. My goal is to help each person maximize function, independence, and improve quality of life.

Biography: Ronald Buczek II, DO FACOS received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University. He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from University of North Texas. His residency in General Surgery was completed at Medical City Fort Worth. This was followed by a fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at the University of Utah. Dr. Buczek then decided to specialize in Hand Surgery.He completed his Hand surgery fellowship at Wright State University - Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Buczek's areas of clinical interest include arthroplasty, microsurgery and peripheral nerve surgery, including targeted muscle reinnervation. Additionally, since fellowship he has practiced in several busy trauma centers, and is well versed in the management of complex upper extremity fractures from finger tip to elbow.Dr. Buczek is a Texas native, but a newcomer to the Austin area. He most recently practiced in Houston for the past several years, where he was Core Faculty at the University of Houston/HCA Kingwood General Surgery residency program.
