Biography: Dr. Utpal Pajvani, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at Columbia University, is a physician-scientist with clinical and research focus in Type 2 Diabetes and related metabolic diseases. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Biology in 1996, then earned MS (2001), MD (2005) and PhD (Department of Cell Biology, 2005) degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pajvani completed his internship and residency training and is board certified in Internal Medicine (2007) and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism (2011), both at the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Pajvani has been on the faculty of Columbia University since 2011. He is a teaching attending on the inpatient and outpatient Endocrinology and General Medicine services of the New York Presbyterian Hospital, and sees patients at the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at Columbia University.

Biography: Dr. Dan Goldschlag is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at The Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) at Weill Cornell Medical College. A noted fertility specialist, he is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Goldschlag completed his B.A. and M.S. in 1988 and his M.D. in 1992 at Wayne State University in Detroit. After a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Goldschlag received his subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at CRM. In 1999, he joined the Center's faculty. Dr. Goldschlag is a member of numerous medical associations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr.Goldschlag has a thriving practice in reproductive medicine that includes patients growing their families using in vitro fertilization (IVF), preimplantation genetic diagnosis and egg donation, as well as other advanced assisted reproductive techniques. Biography: Dr. Fennoy is a board certified pediatric endocrinologist with additional certification as a Physician Nutrition Specialist as well as an Obesity Medicine specialist. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree form the University of California, San Francisco and her Masters Degree in Public Health from Columbia University, School of Public Health. Her pediatric training was done in the Department of Social Pediatrics, Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, New York, Nutrition training at the Institute of Human Nutrition, Columbia University and Pediatric Endocrine training with the Pediatric Medicine Branch off the National Institute of Child Health, Bethesda, Maryland. She has focused much of her research on the comorbidities identified in morbidly obese children and adolescents as well as the impact bariatric surgery has on these problems. In addition, she has been involved in a school based study to evaluate the impact of a nutrition education curriculum and exercise program on the changes in insulin resistance in middle school children.

Biography: Dr. Christina Pardo is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and serves as the Director for the Women's Health Practice, where she will work to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.She graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University. She also completed an Master of Public Health degree with a focus in International Health at Boston University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. From 2013-2018, she was an Attending Physician and Co-Director of Global Women's Health at Stony Brook Medicine. In 2018, she returned to Downstate Health Sciences University where she has served as both the Director of the Division of Health Equity and the Vice Chair of Quality and Innovation since 2020.Dr. Pardo has been published in peer-reviewed journals and publications on topics such as health equity in obstetrics and gynecology, social determinants of health, and the use of quality improvement to address perinatal health disparities. Dr. Pardo is also passionate about educating the next generations of health professionals about equity, patient centered care and quality improvement. Dr. Pardo has extensive experience in quality improvement and community based research for which she has been awarded both NIH and foundation grants.
