She received her Doctor of Osteopathy from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Northside Hospital Tampa Bay Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. While in her undergraduate program at Houston Baptist University, she received numerous scholarships and recognitions including: Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship, Houston Baptist University Presidential Scholarship, The National Dean's List and the Houston Baptist University Dean's List. She has certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR & AED. Dr. Hayslett enjoys cooking, sewing, golfing, tennis, reading, and scrapbooking in her leisure time. She is fluent in English and Vietnamese, with limited Spanish.
