Biography: Dr. Tirsit Asfaw is a Urogynecologist who specializes in the care of women with pelvic floor weakness resulting in conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse and bladder dysfunction. The network of pelvic structures which normally support a woman's uterus, bladder and rectum may weaken with progressing age, childbirth, obesity and other factors resulting in conditions such as cystocele, rectocele, uterine prolapse, urinary incontinence and bladder dysfunction.Dr. Asfaw offers comprehensive care for women with the above conditions. Her modes of treatment include robotic, abdominal, vaginal reconstructive surgery as well as medical and surgical treatment for urinary incontinence. Biography: Dr. Katherine Husk is a board-certified Urogynecologist, specializing in the care of women with pelvic floor disorders, including care for conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence/accidental bowel leakage, bladder pain, pelvic pain, and urinary, and bowel dysfunction. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for these conditions, including non-surgical management, office-based procedures, and a range of surgical approaches including robotic, abdominal, and vaginal with both native-tissue and mesh augmented surgeries.Dr. Husk has a particular interest in medical education and completed a Master of Education in the Health Professions program which included a focused track in education research. She has significant experience with curriculum development, accreditation, evaluation, feedback, and assessment, and didactic education. She has also held roles with an education focus at both institutional and national levels. Her primary areas of interest for clinical research include patient experience and knowledge, patient counseling, patient outcomes, and medical education research, involving research related to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.She completed her undergraduate education at Brown University (Providence, RI), medical school at New York University School of Medicine (New York, NY), Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA), and Urogynecology fellowship at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC). She additionally completed a Master of Education in the Health Professions through Johns Hopkins University. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urogynecology. Dr. Husk joined Weill Cornell Medicine in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Husk worked in the division of Urogynecology at Albany Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Janet Abrams has been in practice as a Gynecologist since 2006. After graduating with high honors from First Tashkent State Medical School in Uzbekistan, Dr. Abrams remained in Tashkent to complete her OB/GYN internship and residency at the same institution. She then went on to complete a second OB/GYN residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she was named Chief Resident during her final year. As a physician certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Abrams specializes in a wide range of gynecologic-related problems. Additionally, Dr. Abrams can communicate with patients in both English and Russian. Beyond her clinical time, Dr. Abrams has spent over a decade in academia as a GYN Clinical Instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center. She also holds fellowship status in the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology. When practicing medicine, Dr. Abrams highlights the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and explains her best patient advice as understanding and engaging in preventative medicine.
