Biography: Dr. Sohum Desai is a neurosurgeon with Rio Grande Valley Brain & Spine. Dr. Desai is the only board-certified neurosurgeon with neuroendovascular training in the Rio Grande Valley. He treats a wide variety of cranial and spinal conditions including aneurysms, brain tumors, carotid disease, trigeminal neuralgia, Parkinson's disease, cervical myelopathy, lumbar spinal stenosis, and others.Dr. Desai is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and serves as the clerkship director for the neurosurgery rotation.
