Biography: Dr. Eduardo C. Beauchamp is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery with Columbia University's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and is a board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. His practice focuses on operative treatment of both adult and pediatric spine conditions, including complex spinal deformity, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, cervical, thoracic and lumbar degenerative conditions, spinal stenosis and disc herniations. He employs minimally invasive techniques, robotic and CT guided navigation for instrumentation as well as open spine surgical techniques to provide an individualized and comprehensive approach to surgical treatment of spinal pathology. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Beauchamp completed medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico. He then completed an initial fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, MN, followed by a second fellowship in Advanced Pediatric Spine Deformity at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Before joining the faculty at Columbia University, Dr. Beauchamp served as an adult and pediatric spine surgeon and head of clinical research at Twin Cities Spine Center and Gillette Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, where he practiced for seven years. He has received numerous awards, written multiple book chapters and peer reviewed research papers on adult and pediatric spine surgery and been selected as a Top Doctors' Rising Stars. In addition to his clinical practice, he is also involved in the training of national and international spine surgeons, as well as medical students and Orthopedic Surgery residents. His research interests include adult and pediatric scoliosis, as well as cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions, work he has presented on the national and international level. Dr. Beauchamp is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS), Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), Pediatric Spine Study Group (PSSG), and Puerto Rico Orthopedic Society. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, deep sea fishing and spending time with his wife and family.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Sardar believes in non-operative treatment of most spinal disorders. However, when surgery is required he will individualize the treatment to each patient, offering the option that is most likely to result in a good outcome.

Biography: ENGLISH: Dr. Tracey Isidro is a Sports Medicine and non-interventional spine physician in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Isidro is double-board certified in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and completed her sports medicine fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine. After graduating from Rice University, she attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she was Vice President of her class and an Interprofessional Scholar. She did an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White and completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the then #7 program in the nation Baylor College of Medicine and trained at the then #2 U.S. News and World Report rehabilitation hospital TIRR Memorial Hermann. Dr. Isidro was awarded Top Doctor's Women in Medicine Award in 2022 for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York. Dr. Isidro treats and manages multiple sports and musculoskeletal conditions, uses diagnostic ultrasound as an extension of her physical exam, and performs a variety of ultrasound-guided joint and tendon injections. She incorporates active listening with a multi-disciplinary, holistic, and non-operative approach where she teaches her patients about their condition and empowers them to take an active role in their health. She also includes aspects of Lifestyle Medicine such as physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, social network, and substance avoidance in her treatment plans. Because of her diverse culture, ability to speak Spanish, and her opportunity to work with people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, she is mindful of social determinants of health in helping her patients get better. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Isidro is very passionate about leadership, mentorship, and advocacy for women physiatrists and physician wellness. The Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) selected her for the 2022 McLean Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award, the top national award that is historically given to one trainee for their dedication to medical education, research, academic performance, and leadership. While at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Isidro was the only trainee to receive the 2021 Women of Excellence Award for her contributions related to developing a leadership curriculum for women physiatrists. Further, she held leadership roles with AAP and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and was the only resident in the nation from 2018-2019 to serve on the trainee councils of both national organizations. She pioneered the AAP Words of Wellness Podcast Series that has been listened to close to 6,000 times.
