Biography: Dr. Apt was born and raised outside of Philadelphia in Doylestown, PA and attended Penn State University, majoring in Biology with a Vertebrate Physiology option. Sports Medicine sparked Dr. Apts interest and passion for podiatry. Dr. Apt obtained his podiatric degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, graduating number 3 in his class. Dr. Apt completed a vigorous 3-year podiatric medicine and surgical residency at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida and served as Chief Resident his 3rd year. During his 3 years, Dr. Apt performed over 1,000 procedures and is well trained in all aspects of podiatric surgery, including trauma, elective surgery, sports medicine, internal and external fixation, arthroscopy, diabetic wound care, limb salvage, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. Dr. Apt is a well-rounded podiatrist that treats all conditions of the foot and ankle, both conservatively and surgically. Dr. Apt is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is also a member of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Apt enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife, Taylor, who is also a podiatrist, have 3 beautiful children. Dr. Apt has a passion for running and has completed multiple marathons and half-marathons. He is also an avid sports fan and enjoys college football, going to the beach, and watching movies. Dr. Apt was a Be-The-Match donor and donated his bone marrow to help a 7-year-old boy with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He is a caring, passionate, and personable doctor that takes pride in helping his patients become pain-free.

Biography: Dr. Brandon Shallop is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy. He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan where he attended the University of Michigan graduating with honors with a BS in Biology. He then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, earning his MD. He went on to complete a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital where he was named Chief Resident. Following the completion of residency, Dr. Shallop spent an additional year to attain specialized fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida. During that year he trained in complex knee and shoulder procedures focusing on minimally invasive techniques and arthroscopy. In addition he was the co-team physician for the University of Miami men's football, basketball, and baseball teams as well as for the Miami Marlins major league baseball team. Dr. Shallop specializes in treating athletes of all ages and abilities focusing on arthroscopic and open surgical techniques. Additionally, Dr. Shallop is trained in joint replacement surgery and fracture care. Dr. Shallop has a special interest mainly in performing quadricep tendon autograft ACL reconstruction using an ``all-side`` dual suspensory fixation technique. This surgical approach is new and shows improved outcomes in large studies, as well as has shown to have decreased morbidity to the patient. In addition it's a minimally invasive technique which allows for smaller incisions.

Care Philosophy: I strive to provide exceptional, straight forward care. I expect a patient to feel confident that they are in the right place and that I am personally interested in helping each patient. I clearly explain that rational and thought process of the diagnosis. I review the treatment options and the success of each plan. I encourage questions and want the patient to understand the treatment plan. Surgical procedures are clearly explained along with available options. State of the art treatment is available from the most advanced surgical instrumentation to advanced healing biological technology such as Platelet rich plasma and stem cells. Each decision is made as if I were treating a family member. Many of our local Physician's choose to send their patients and their families to this office. I truly enjoy my practice and I enjoy helping people.
