Biography: Dr. Shannon McCants grew up in Kansas City, and then came to Texas for all of her schooling. She received her bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then went across the DFW metroplex to the University of Texas Southwestern for Medical School. She then began her career at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas as a resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology. After she graduated from residency, she joined Women's Health Alliance.Dr. McCants is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has many awards under her belt from medical school and residency. She is a member of AMA, TMA and Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. McCants is passionate about her job. She loves to walk with women through life from their teen years all the way through menopause. She is knowledgeable in family planning, from infertility to routine birth control, all the way to permanent sterilization. She is confident in caring for women with pregnancies from low risk to high risk.Dr. McCants is highly trained in minimally invasive surgeries using the DiVinci robot, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Biography: A native of Dallas, Dr. Jay Staub has been in practice since 1983, delivering personalized health care for women in Dallas. Following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and received his medical degree in 1979. He completed his residency training at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. He is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.A Clinical Professor in the department of Ob/Gyn at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Staub is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. His practice specializes in a wide spectrum of women's care general OB/GYN, infertility, routine and high-risk prenatal care, gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive procedures such as Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy, and Laparoscopic hysterectomy, as well as the evaluation and management menopause. After graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, she completed her residency at Methodist Medical Center.
