Biography: Dr. Thomas Shary, MD is a General Surgery Specialist who practices in San Antonio, TX. He is 43 years old and has been practicing for 17 years. Dr. Thomas Shary, MD is affiliated with Methodist Hospital Stone Oak and Methodist Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Damon Mimari was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies and obtaining a bachelor's degree in Science, he followed in his father Dr. George Mimari's footsteps, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Mimari is a very high-volume robotic surgeon, with an annual case volume among the highest globally. In 2017, Dr. Mimari performed more DaVinci Single-Site cholecystectomies (gallbladder removal) than anybody worldwide. Dr. Mimari also has among the highest case volumes for robotic hernia repair (inguinal, ventral, incisional, etc.). Dr. Mimari has done additional training on advanced techniques for robotic colon and colorectal surgery, sharpening a unique skill set to deliver state of the art minimally invasive surgery for his patients. Dr. Mimari also has an interest in surgical diseases of the breast and is currently working in a collaborative manner to help adapt and potentially apply minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to treat surgical diseases of the breast.Dr. Mimari is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. He is the former Chief of the Department of Surgery for St. Luke's Baptist Hospital. He serves as a mentor and proctor for surgeons learning and implementing the DaVinci Robotic Surgical platform into their practice.Dr. Mimari is the proud father of three children. When not working, he enjoys spending his time with his kids and loved ones. His personal hobbies include running, traveling, and beach time.

Biography: Dr. Mario Longoria, MD is a General Surgery Specialist who practices in Round Rock, TX. He is 53 years old. Dr. Mario Longoria, MD is affiliated with St. David's Round Rock Medical Center and St. David's Georgetown Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Brittany DeBerry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997, and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston in 2001. She continued her training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and was chosen Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year for two subsequent years. She completed her residency in 2006Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr DeBerry has been in practice in San Antonio since 2006. She is a past Chief of Surgery at Methodist Hospital. Dr DeBerry is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and Association of Women Surgeons. Dr DeBerry is a general surgeon with a special interest in caring for patients with breast cancer as well as with benign disease of the breast. She enjoys the relationship developed during this difficult time for patients. Her other clinical interests include basic laparoscopy, hernia repair and gallbladder disease.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Dean Kocay has comprehensive experience performing general surgical procedures for many conditions. Whenever medically possible, Dr. Kocay performs minimally invasive surgery, or laparoscopic surgery, which requires smaller incisions than traditional surgery.Laparoscopy surgery is safer to perform and generally reduces the length of hospital stays and recovery times. Dr. Kocay is also experienced with traditional (open) surgery.Above all, treatment is chosen to meet a patient's individual needs. Dr. Kocay offers a collaborative approach to patient care, working closely with colleagues in other surgical and medical specialties to find the best treatment approach for each patient.
