Care Philosophy: I believe in personalizing care for every patient. We forget that every patient is uniquely different, not just medically but in other ways as well: education, language, cultural beliefs, religious belief. I don't think we can succeed unless we understand the role of these factors in patients&rsquo medical conditions. I believe that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, again regardless of other factors. Lastly, I believe in sharing responsibility of every patient&rsquos health with him or her. I try to educate all my patients enough so that they can participate in making decisions about their care. I earned a Bachelor&rsquos of Medicine and Surgery from the Government Medical College in Surat, India and completed a residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Luke&rsquos University Health Network. I am a co-author of several publications and presentations, and I have completed research and quality improvement projects in the areas of nutrition and improving mammogram improvement rates. I am certified in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Outside of work, I like to cook, try new recipes and spend time with my three boys.
