Dr. O'Connor received her MD degree from The State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biological Sciences. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by a Medical Oncology Fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Buffalo, New York. Dr. O'Connor's most recent appointment was as Associate Professor of Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Clinical Associate Professor at The State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. O'Connor's clinical interests focus on the care of breast cancer patients. Her research interests are centered around predicting and understanding the toxicity of therapies and developing strategies to mitigate side effects, particularly in improving the tolerability of treatment for older breast cancer patients.
