Biography: Dr. Khaled Awad is a board certified cardiac electrophysiologist. Dr. Awad joins TCA as one of the nation's busiest and highly experienced physicians in the field of cardiac ablations. He offers extensive repertoire in complex interventions aimed at correcting heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Awad received his medical degree from the University of Mansoura, College of Medicine in Egypt. Dr. Awad pursued his graduate medical education in the United States. He completed his internal medicine residency program in Detroit at the Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center, where he also served as a chief resident. Dr. Awad pursued his cardiology fellowship training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where he also served as a chief fellow. While at that program, Dr. Awad partnered with the FDA committees to conduct research pertaining to the reliability of implantable cardiac defibrillators. His dream to pursue the highest level of training in the field of cardiac ablations, particularly the treatment of ventricular tachycardia, was realized when he joined the prestigious cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Awad joined faculty at the University of Alabama in Birmingham as an assistant professor where he continued to advance his research and teaching mission. Dr. Awad practiced at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for almost a decade where he developed a nationally acclaimed program for complex ablations. Dr. Awad published several papers in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and presented his work in prestigious journals and professional conferences. Biography: Zalmen Blanck, MD, FHRS is board certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease. He practices with Methodist Physiciand RiverCity CardioVascular.Dr. Blanck graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico School of Medicine in Mexico City. He completed his residency and electrophysiology fellowship at University of Wisconsin Mount Sinai/Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his cardiology training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.Following his EP fellowship, Dr. Blanck served as director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center and as assistant professor of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Between 1993 and 2014, Dr. Blanck worked with Aurora Cardiovascular Services/Aurora Medical Group in Milwaukee. He also served at the University of Milwaukee Medical School, Milwaukee Clinical Campus, until 2000 when he became a clinical Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health at Aurora Sinai and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Centers. From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Blanck served as director of Electrophysiology Services at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. He is currently a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.His professional interests include the use of catheter ablation techniques and devices to treat cardiac arrhythmias. In his spare time, he plays classical guitar and enjoys outdoor activities including fishing and hunting.

Since 2005 He has practiced cardiology and electrophysiology in Corpus Christi Texas. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology and is licensed to practice medicine in Texas.Dr. Toth has been involved in both academic research studies in the areas of internal medicine/cardiology/electrophysiology during his years of internship, residency, and fellowship and has participated and been an author in numerous published studies both in professional journals as well as having given research presentations at specialty cardiology conferences here in the U.S. and abroad.

Biography: As a native of Austin, Dr. Allison is excited to provide care for those in the community dealing with cardiac arrhythmias. His interest in cardiology began while studying mechanical engineering at the University of Texas and using computer software to simulate the pumping heart. He pursued this interest and attended medical school at the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio, and later completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Here he found a passion for treating patients with cardiac arrhythmias, and subsequently completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He received awards and honors including being Chief Fellow of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service. He has authored and co-authored research papers and book chapters in the field of cardiology and arrhythmias, and has been invited to present his original research findings at national meetings. Dr. Allison received comprehensive training in all aspects of Cardiac Electrophysiology, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of arrhythmias. His clinical interests are the use of advanced technologies for safe and effective cardiac ablation of atrial fibrillation, and both ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias. He also focuses on pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and removal, as well as left atrial appendage closure. Dr. Allison's passion is the use of state-of-the-art methods for treatment of cardiac arrhythmias to help improve the lives of those in this beloved community.

Care Philosophy: My background is electrical engineering and, in a way, that's still what I do. Though now my focus is the electrical engineering of the heart. I'm motivated by a desire to help my patients feel better and retain as normal a lifestyle as possible despite the presence of significant heart disease.
