Biography: Dr. Drusin, M.D., M.Sc. is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine New York Presbyterian Hospital who specializes in pediatric otolaryngology.She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Drusin also obtained a master's in science at the K.U. Leuven in Belgium. She completed her residency training at the New York Presbyterian Hospitals of Columbia and Cornell Universities. Following residency, she completed subspecialty training in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Seattle Children's Hospital of the University of Washington. Dr. Drusin is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO).In addition to the management of common ear, nose and throat problems, Dr. Drusin had advanced training in the management of multiple conditions related to pediatric ear, hearing, and communication disorders. These include cochlear implants, congenital hearing loss including congenital cytomegalovirus infection, progressive hearing loss, cholesteatoma, conductive hearing loss and microtia as well as treatment with hearing aids, bone conduction sound processors, otologic reconstructive surgery, and cochlear implantation. She is also experienced with the management of cleft palate and velopharyngeal insufficiency affecting speech and swallowing.Dr. Drusin is also experienced in the management of airway and swallowing disorders including laryngeal clefts, airway narrowing, and obstructive sleep apnea with minimally invasive endoscopic techniques as well as open procedures. She is also trained in the management of congenital and acquired neck masses including thyroglossal duct and branchial cleft cysts, enlarged lymph nodes, and vascular anomalies including hemangioma.Throughout her career, Dr. Drusin has been recognized with awards for her service and teaching. Biography: Dr. Hermos is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. After a brief stint as a ski instructor, Dr. Hermos received her Master's degree in Education at The University of Colorado, Boulder. She was a classroom teacher in Denver for several years before moving to New York in 2000. Dr. Hermos worked in the non-profit sector before deciding to study medicine. Dr. Hermos attended medical school and trained in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She has now been practicing primary care in New York City since completing her residency in 2013.

Biography: Dr. Corey Wasserman, formerly Dr. Waxman, graduated from Bucknell University and received her Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in 2011. She completed her pediatric residency at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Wasserman's professional interests include preventive care, developmental pediatrics and public outreach through medical journalism. She is a frequent contributor to various media outlets and has been featured on several prominent online blogs as well as on television.Dr. Wasserman has a passion for creating meaningful relationships with families and embraces her role in nurturing each patient's physical, emotional and cognitive development from the newborn period through late adolescence.

Care Philosophy: Before joining the staff of Weill Cornell Medical Associates, Dr. Smerd worked as a primary care doctor at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital and at Odyssey House, a therapeutic drug community in Spanish Harlem. She was named chief resident after completing her medical residency at New York University. Dr. Smerd studied medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine/NY State program in Tel Aviv, Israel. She has also lived in Kathmandu and traveled the countryside of Nepal researching Vitamin A deficiency. She earned her bachelor's degree from Vassar College, where she graduated with a major in Women's studies focusing on Anthropology. Though originally from Pittsburgh, Dr. Smerd now lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.

Biography: Harini Sarva, MD completed a combined undergraduate-medical school eight year program at CUNY Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate degree in economics with a magna cum laude from Brooklyn College, during which team she made the Dean's List every semester and won an award in excellence in economics. After completing her MD, she was recruited to complete her neurology residency from SUNY Downstate, where she was also a Chief Resident during her final year of training. She won the SUNY Downstate Alumni Association Outstanding Resident in the Department of Neurology and the Department of Neurology Excellence in Teaching awards. She subsequently completed her fellowship in Movement Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Bressman and Dr. Rachel Saunders-Pullman at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. During her second year of fellowship she was awarded the Clinical Teaching Fellowship grant from the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and a travel grant from the International Society of Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders to attend their annual conference in Stockholm. After completing all of her training she was an attending in neurology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she was co-director of medical student and resident rotations and developed a movement disorders elective for psychiatry residents. She also arranged a CME conference entitled "Movement Disorders Review."Dr. Sarva subspecializes in Parkinson's disease, Essential Tremor, Dystonia, Tics, Chorea, Myoclonus, Ataxia, and Gait Disorders. She is experienced in botulinum toxin injection therapy for craniofacial and limb dystonia, hemifacial spasm, and spasticity. In addition she is trained to evaluate patients for deep brain stimulation and is an experienced programmer.Dr. Sarva is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Biography: Alina Masters-Israilov completed her undergraduate studies at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College in New York. She then attended medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn where she also completed her intern year in internal medicine. She finished her neurology residency and served as chief resident at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She then joined the Montefiore Headache Center to pursue her headache and facial pain fellowship, before joining as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is the associate director for the neurology clerkship and the director for the headache elective for WCM medical students. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and of the American Headache Society, where she was recently awarded the "Frontiers in Headache Research" scholarship award for her research on the onabotulinumtoxinA wear-off phenomenon in chronic migraine.

Biography: Dr. Pirmohamedis an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital. As a specialist in Non-Invasive Cardiology and Vascular Medicine he interprets and performs stress tests, echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds and consults on the wards of New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Dr. Pirmohamed was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and moved to Washington D.C. for his early education. He attended Georgetown University, earning his undergraduate degree in Economics and Spanish before staying to complete his medical degree. He moved to New York City for hisInternal Medicine residency atNew York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.He then completedhis training in Cardiovascular Diseases and Echocardiography at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical College.Dr. Pirmohamedjoined the full time faculty at Weill-Cornell upon completion of his training.Dr. Pirmohamed's main clinical interestsinclude working with medical traineesand providing advanced education to international clinicians in non-invasive cardiovascular interventions.He is involved in international outreach to provide health care to underserved communities. His research focuses on dissemination and quality improvement methodologies to investigate and improve barriers to health care delivery in these communities.He is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society for Vascular Medicine and the American College of Cardiology.Dr. Pirmohamed is fluent in Spanish.

Biography: Dr. Sherry Huang graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City College of New York and received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at NYU Langone Medical Center. Dr. Huang is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.Before joining Weill Cornell, Dr. Huang worked at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in New York City for 13 years as a Senior Pediatrician and Co-Director of the Pediatric Special Needs Program. In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Huang was instrumental in the creation and leadership of a support program for parents of children with special health care needs, and was successful in improving the systems of care for such children and their families.Dr. Huang joined Weill Cornell in 2020 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and the Site Medical Director of the 156 William Street location.
