Care Philosophy: Dr. Sharaiha is dedicated to putting her patients first. She has a special interest in the endoscopic treatment of obesity and the diseases of the pancreas and biliary tract, including pancreatitis, fluid collection, sphincter of oddi dysfunction and pancreatic cancer. She is grant funded for trials with malignant biliary obstruction. She sees patients for advanced endoscopic procedures, staging of GI cancers, and treatment or removal of early cancer lesions, surveillance and ablation of pancreatic cysts, and for obesity treatment.

Biography: Dr. Ng received her undergraduate degree from Boston College, where she studied studio art in addition to her pre-med studies. Early in her career she worked as a research scientist at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and University of Massachusetts Medical School. She earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Billings Clinic.

Biography: Dr. Saluja graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University in Connecticut in 1996 where he was the recipient of the Hawk Prize for Excellence in Molecular Biology. He received his MD degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He went on do to his Internal Medicine training at Columbia, serving as Chief Resident before completing additional training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He served as the Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital from 2012 until 2018 before returning to Columbia. Dr Saluja continues to be active in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He has was named Teacher of the Year four times, has been named a Top Doctor by Castle-Connolly and New Jersey Monthly, and has numerous research publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr Saluja is a full-time faculty member at Columbia and sees patients at the Herbert Irving Pavilion at the Washington Heights campus.

Biography: Dr. Daniel Herron, MD is a Bariatric Surgery Specialist who practices in New York, NY. He is 60 years old and has been practicing for 33 years. Dr. Daniel Herron, MD is affiliated with Mount Sinai Queens and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Biography: Dr. Michelle Cohen is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her clinical practice encompasses general gastroenterology with a focus on functional gastrointestinal disorders, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and women's gastrointestinal health.Dr. Cohen received her undergraduate degree with honors from New York University. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr.Cohen completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. She subsequently completed fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Cohen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology

Biography: Devoting considerable time to teaching, mentoring and the development of physicians in training, Dr. Dakin has been presented with number of teaching awards, including the Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and the Medical Student Teaching Award in Surgery. Most recently, he received the Excellence in Teaching Award from Weill Cornell Medical College.His interest in clinical and basic science research focuses on various aspects of bariatric surgery, including its effects on bone metabolism; on reproductive function in obese women; and on gene expression and metabolic profile of weight loss of patients following gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Dakin is a member of many numerous professional societiesA board-certified surgeon, Dr. Dakin received his undergraduate degree with honors from Colgate University and obtained his MD from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, including a dedicated research fellowship in laparoscopy. He continued at Mount Sinai for a clinical fellowship in minimally invasive surgery.
