Biography: Kathryn Lorenz, MD is a board certified family practice physician who earned her medical degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, Dayton, OH. She completed a family practice residency at Dayton Community Family Medicine, Dayton, OH. Dr. Lorenz joined Premier Physician Network in 2009. Biography: Jason Schatzel, MD is a graduate of the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown, OH. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH. Dr. Schatzel is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Schatzel is an internal medicine physician committed to providing patient-centered care. He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of prevalent chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol, including high triglycerides). His comprehensive practice includes the treatment of thyroid disease, depression, anxiety, COPD, asthma, and congestive heart failure, alongside a strong emphasis on preventative counseling. Dr. Schatzel offers convenient on-site services including A1c and urine testing, as well as vaccinations, EKGs, physical examinations, and certain joint injections. He believes in fostering a collaborative partnership with his patients to achieve their health goals. Biography: Irina A. Gendler, MD is a board certified family medicine physician who earned her medical degree from Novosibirsk State Medical University, Novosibirsk, Russia. She is also board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology after completing two residencies in Russia. In the U.S., Dr. Gendler completed a family practice residency at Dayton Community Family Practice, Dayton, OH in 2006. She is fluent in English and Russian. Dr. Gendler has received many honors during her training: Academic Excellency Scholarship, Nikolay I. Pirogov Senior Student Award, Leadership Award, and Intern of the Year award. She has been a clinical instructor for medical students and participated in many volunteer activities receiving the Annual Volunteer Award for her service. Dr. Gendler is currently a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. She holds medical licenses in Ohio and California.
