Biography: Danish Abbasi, M.D., is a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist with Houston Heart, based in Houston, TX. He received his medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical College before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in New Jersey. Subsequently, Dr. Abbasi moved to Arkansas, completing a general cardiology fellowship and then an additional Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, both at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.Dr. Abbasi is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and specializes in Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular diseases, offering a wide variety of cardiovascular, diagnostic, and therapeutic options. Biography: Along with his busy urology practice at our Round Rock #1 location, Grady Bruce serves as the Medical Director for the Round Rock Center for Continence. He is also a clinical assistant professor at the UT Dell School or Medicine, and served as preceptor for Ob-Gyn residency Urogynecology rotation from 2007 – 2017. Dr. Bruce serves as a member of the Executive Board of Directors for Urology Austin, and is an active participant in many local, regional, and national physician societies. These societies include: the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), Society for Urodynamics and Female Urogenital reconstruction (SUFU), and Health Talents International – a Urogynecology/Pelvic Surgery mission team to Guatemala. Dr. Bruce has a special interest in female urology and incontinence, and has the distinction of being Board Certified in both Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), as well as General Urology. During his medical training, Grady Bruce was awarded the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award while in residency at the University of Kentucky, and won numerous other awards for abstract presentations. Dr. Bruce then completed fellowship training in FPMRS, Voiding Dysfunction, and Incontinence at Emory University School of Medicine and the Emory Continence Center. Biography: Dr. Nima Goharkhay is the Medical Director of the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas. He is board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). He is a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM) and the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG). Dr. Goharkhay holds a PhD in Cell Biology. Prior to founding the Pregnancy Specialty Center of Texas, he was Medical Director at Texas MFM, and a perinatologist with Maryland Perinatal Associates in the Washington DC area, where he also served as Quality Control Representative. He is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was a Women's Reproductive Health Scholar and faculty member at that institution until 2009. Dr. Goharkhay has a strong interest in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, diabetes in pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, maternal complications in pregnancy and developmental programming of disease. He has participated in research studies sponsored by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network of the NICHD and has had independent research support by the NIH and the National Perinatal Foundation, among others, and has authored numerous articles. He was recognized for his research by the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine and was Researcher of the Month at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in December 2007. Dr. Goharkhay was honored by the BIRTH organization in both 2015 and 2016 for his support of the midwife and natural birth communities in the Houston area. Dr. Goharkhay completed his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and his residency at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He earned his medical degree at the University of Vienna in Austria and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
