Biography: Dr. Carl Bischoff is a graduate of Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Bischoff completed his Urology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his Urologic Oncology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Bischoff practices general urology with a focus on urologic oncology. He has a special interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of urologic cancers as well as reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bischoff has been chosen to train on the daVinci SP Surgical System – a state-of-the-art robotic system that reduces surgical access to one incision, while allowing 360 degree maneuverability and an expanded range of surgical instruments. Carl Bischoff serves as the Chief of robotic surgery at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and Arise Austin Medical center. He enjoys living in Austin with his wife, Emily, and their four children, Emma Claire, Annaliese, Madeline, and Wyatt. Biography: Dr. David Phillips received his medical degree in 1988 from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. Afterwards, he completed his Urology Residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio Affiliated Hospitals. During his residency, Dr. Phillips serviced as Chief Resident from July 1993 – June 1994. Dr. Phillips has over 20 years experience as a urologist. Within our practice, he has pioneered the use of innovative treatments for patients with advancing prostate cancer. Along with his colleagues, Dr. Vic Desireddi and Dr. Richard Garza, Dr. Phillips serves as part of Urology Austin's Advancing Prostate Cancer Care Team. This team manages patients with prostate cancer recurrence after initial local therapy such as robotic prostatectomy or radiation. Care approaches include newer medical oncolytics (Xtandi, Zytiga, and Erleada) and immunotherapies (Provenge). Biography: Dr. MacLeod has a passion for working with her patients to help them achieve optimal health. She enjoys listening and truly getting to know each of her patients as unique individuals.Dr. MacLeod earned a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin. Care Philosophy: Dr. Shannon Hardy grew up in Houston, Texas, and attended St. John's School. She then did her undergraduate studies at Rice University where she graduated Pre-med with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics and Literature in 2003. She then earned her Medical Doctorate at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2007, where she graduated in the top quarter of her class. She stayed at UTMB to complete her four years of residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
