Biography: Board certified and practices general orthopaedics with special interest in fracture management, arthroscopy, cartilage preservation and joint replacement. He has extensive experience in sports medicine, having completed a Fellowship in the discipline at Methodist Hospital in Houston, where he trained in advanced open and arthroscopic techniques for knee, shoulder, elbow and hip. He has worked as an assistant team physician to several professional teams in Houston: the Texans, Astros, Rockets and Dynamo, as well as for Rice University and HISD.In addition to his work with professional athletes, Dr. Lin has knowledge and expertise with orthopaedic injuries sustained by military personnel. During his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he was awarded commendation for research he conducted on those injuries sustained during Operation Enduring Freedom, which was published and presented at national meetings. Following residency, Dr. Lin served as an orthopaedic surgeon and Chief, Department of Surgery at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, which served the active duty, dependent and retiree population in and around Fort Polk, Louisiana (home of the Joint Readiness Training Center). He was also deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in 2007.Dr. Lin was born in Taiwan and raised in West Windsor, New Jersey. Biography: Dr. Loyola V. Gressot is a board-certified neurosurgeon licensed in the state of Texas. She was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and raised in Houston, Texas. She is bilingual in English and French.She attended Rice University in Houston where she studied biochemistry and molecular biology, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. During this time, she became a licensed paramedic in the state of Texas and worked part-time on an ambulance providing emergency medical services for 5 years.Dr. Gressot then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, was inducted into the Gold Humanism honor society, and graduated with the highest honors as the valedictorian.Dr. Gressot completed her neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She conducted brain tumor lab research and was granted the prestigious Preuss Award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
