Care Philosophy: Dr. Oberto-Medinas uncle was her pediatrician when she was a little girl and from a very early age she knew that she also wanted to become a doctor. As a caregiver to her parents, she has learned to navigate the medical system and understand what it is like to be in a patients' shoes. Her and her husband enjoy spending their free time outdoors; sailing, snowboarding and skiing. When she goes outside for a run, she is usually accompanied by her two dogs who love the exercise.

Biography: I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1991 and completed my residency training at Regions Hospital in 1994. I enjoy working in the family practice setting and my special interests include the Family Centered Birth Project, breastfeeding promotion and colposcopy. I am also a clinical instructor with the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the Medical School at the University of Minnesota.
