Care Philosophy: The field of interventional cardiology is advancing rapidly, and there are numerous exciting therapies on the horizon. State-of-the-art technology and improvement in techniques allow effective management of patients with coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease with minimally invasive procedures. Biography: Dr. Saluja graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University in Connecticut in 1996 where he was the recipient of the Hawk Prize for Excellence in Molecular Biology. He received his MD degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He went on do to his Internal Medicine training at Columbia, serving as Chief Resident before completing additional training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He served as the Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital from 2012 until 2018 before returning to Columbia. Dr Saluja continues to be active in teaching, research, and clinical practice. He has was named Teacher of the Year four times, has been named a Top Doctor by Castle-Connolly and New Jersey Monthly, and has numerous research publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr Saluja is a full-time faculty member at Columbia and sees patients at the Herbert Irving Pavilion at the Washington Heights campus.

Care Philosophy: Dr. LaScalea completed his residency in Primary Care/Internal Medicine at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. His strong interest in community affairs has led him to direct a crisis hotline while in college, as well as work as an educator in adolescent substance abuse prevention. Dr. LaScalea is also a winner of the 2001 Barbara Zucker Traveling Fellowship in Clinical Infectious Diseases. His travel to Africa has further inspired interest in international health.

Biography: Dr. Sonal Kumar graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002 and obtained her medical degree in 2006 from Washington University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed internal medicine internship and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital - Washington University School of Medicine and then Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard University. During fellowship, she also received her Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Kumar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.Dr. Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and currently is the Director of Clinical Hepatology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her clinical interests include non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, genetic/autoimmune liver disease and alcoholic liver disease. Dr. Kumar also has a background in clinical research and is involved in multiple clinical trials. She is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, the Empire Liver Foundation, and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Kumar also routinely performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
