Care Philosophy: "I am a medical oncologist with an expertise in breast cancer medicine. My focus is the multidisciplinary care and treatment of patients, especially those who have tumors that are high risk. Because I am a passionate advocate of personalized medicine, my goal is to develop new successful treatments that exploit our knowledge of the cancer genome and the immuno cell network for immunotherapy, in order to improve the outcomes of breast cancer patients. To do this, I actively participate in team science and recognize the importance of establishing strong connections with other disciplines involved in the care of patients and who are in the laboratory, as our goals are the same- to cure breast cancer. I view my patients as individuals and welcome open and inclusive communication when discussing treatment strategies as it is paramount they feel comfortable with an established treatment pathway."

Care Philosophy: I am a medical oncologist who specializes in cancers of the lung and thymus. I work closely with our multidisciplinary team of expert thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, palliative care/pain management specialists, and nutritionists to provide comprehensive care for our patients. I view each patient and their disease as unique and work to manage their treatment accordingly, always keeping their goals in mind. In order to provide new hopes for the future of lung cancer treatment, our division is also involved in clinical research focusing on precsion medicine, immunotherapy, and novel therapeutics as well as laboratory research to better understand this disease.

Biography: Dr. Farrah Hussain, MD is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist who practices in New York, NY. She is 37 years old and has been practicing for 11 years. Dr. Farrah Hussain, MD is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Morningside.

Biography: Dr. Reshef trained in Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation and received a Master of Science degree in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined Columbia University in 2015 as Director of Translational Research for the Blood and Marrow Transplantation program. He is the Clinical Lead for the CAR-T Cell Program at Columbia, a principal investigator at the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology and a member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Biography: Diane George, MD cares for children and adolescents undergoing stem cell transplantation as a treatment for cancer (particularly leukemia and lymphoma), noncancerous blood disorders (like sickle cell anemia), and immunodeficiencies. She specializes in transplantation for patients who don't have a related bone marrow donor, and also takes care of patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplantation for solid tumors. Dr. George was originally attracted to the field of pediatric oncology because she wanted to take on the challenge of fighting pediatric cancer, and stem cell transplantation offers the ultimate cure in select patients. It is a complex medical field, and Dr. George enjoys being able to take care of children with complex medical conditions. Dr. George also conducts clinical research. She is currently evaluating a procedure called "CD34-selected stem cell transplantation" to remove T-cells from donor bone marrow. This approach reduces the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) - a potential complication of bone marrow transplantation in which T-cells from the donor attack the tissue of the recipient. This approach benefits patients who do not have a well-matched family donor, and it could potentially make bone marrow transplantation an option for more patients. Dr. George is also interested in studying how a patient's immune system rebuilds itself after CD34-selected stem cell transplantation. At NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, every member of a child's healthcare team shares the same compassion and dedication to helping them get well. Dr. George looks forward each day to the camaraderie, intellectual stimulation, and problem-solving she shares with fellow team members. After being in the field for more than 20 years, Dr. George uses the knowledge and experience she has gained to benefit patients and their families.

Biography: Rohit K. Jain MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Jain earned his medical degree at Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, India. He completed Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute University at Buffalo, New York. After fellowship, Dr. Jain, joined the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida as Assistant Professor, and was instrumental in building the bladder cancer program. Dr. Jain was selected as Castle Connolly "Top Doctor" for 2024, as well as one of America's Best Prostate Cancer Oncologist by Newsweek magazine in 2024. Dr. Jain was recruited to Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) in 2024. He cares for patients with bladder (urothelial), kidney (renal), prostate and testicular cancers, with a major focus in urothelial cancers. His research interests are primarily in urothelial and prostate cancers. Dr. Jain is involved in biomarker research as well as developing innovative clinical trials for patients, and he has received funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
