Biography: Rema Malik, M.D. is a Vascular Surgeon with Gulf Coast Vascular. Dr. Malik received her BA in Chemistry from North Carolina State University. She then went on to gain her Doctorate in Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Malik completed her General Surgery residency at North Eastern Ohio Medical University followed by a Surgical Critical Care fellowship with Wright State University. She completed her Vascular Surgery training at Wayne State University. Dr. Malik is triple board certified in General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgeons. Dr. Malik has been a part of several publications, posters, and presentations throughout her career. She has been an instructor for the Fundamentals of Critical Care, is registered physician in vascular interpretation, as well as certified in advanced surgical skills for exposures in trauma.She has clinical interests in vascular and endovascular surgery, thoracic outlet syndrome, abdominal and thoracoabdominal aneurysm disease, carotid, brachiocephalic and upper extremity arterial disease, aortic reconstruction of aortoiliac disease, peripheral and mesenteric occlusion/aneurysmal disease, hemodialysis access, and venous disease.Dr. Malik is bilingual in both English and Urdu. Biography: Sohail Shah, M.D. is a board-certified Pediatric Surgeon with Greater Houston Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Shah has special interests in gastrointestinal surgery, neonatal surgery, congenital anomalies, and the correction of chest wall abnormalities (pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum). His practice includes minimally invasive thoracic and abdominal surgery for pediatric patients of all ages (neonates through adolescents). Dr. Shah also has a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and serves as the Pediatric Surgery Medical Director for HCA Gulf Coast Division and Practice Medical Director for Greater Houston Pediatric Surgery. Additionally, he previously served in numerous other administrative roles, including Chief Surgical Officer at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus, Surgical Director of Perioperative Services at Texas Children's Hospital, and Surgical Director of Telemedicine and Outreach at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2023, he was awarded Top Doc recognition by Houstonia Magazine.Dr. Shah is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). His other professional memberships include the American Pediatric Surgical Association, Association for Academic Surgery, and International Pediatric Endosurgery Group.Dr. Shah is a native Houstonian and is married with 3 children.
