Biography: Radhika Smith, MD, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon specializing in treating patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Dr. Smith earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri and completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then received fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Dr. Smith is also dedicated to training the next generation of surgeons. She has served as an assistant professor of colon and rectal surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine and has received numerous teaching awards throughout her career. She has also served as an examiner and question writer for the colorectal surgery qualifying and certifying board examination.

Care Philosophy: George J. Palmer, MD, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon with specialty training in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Currently serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Cardiovascular Institute, he has special interests in minimally invasive surgical approaches including robotic-assisted surgery, electrophysiology of the heart, and all aspects pertaining to adult cardiac and general thoracic surgery. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Palmer earned his medical degree at Creighton University in Nebraska and completed his surgical internship and residency UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL, capping his tenure there as Chief Resident. He next served as a resident in cardiothoracic transplant and as a Cardiothoracic Research Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, continuing there as a resident in thoracic surgery and finally as Chief Resident of cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Palmer has been in practice here in Central Florida since 1989.

Care Philosophy: Devina McCray, MD, is a breast surgical oncologist who is board certified in general surgery. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of benign and malignant breast disease. Her areas of surgical expertise include excisional biopsy, breast conservation, sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary node dissection, mastectomy (simple, skin sparing, and nipple sparing), oncoplasty, and intraoperative radiation therapy. Dr. McCray received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine and carried out her general surgery residency at Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) in Orlando. In 2016, she completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. McCray also participated in a training program at City of Hope National Medical Center to study the principals of designing clinical trials. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Care Philosophy: Enrique Vega, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in gastrointestinal, breast and skin cancers as well as thyroid, parathyroid and hernia repair surgeries. An award-winning member of the esteemed surgical team at AdventHealth Medical Group in Central Florida, he receives many referrals from area physicians whose patients require surgical intervention to address problems with the gallbladder, spleen, adrenal glands, breast, endocrine glands, and gastrointestinal tract. A graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, he completed dual residencies in general surgery at Loma Linda University and Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) in Orlando and another residency in family medicine, also at AdventHealth Orlando.
