Biography: Dr. Amber Gadson is an OB/GYN surgeon. Dr. Gadson completed her residency training at the University of Texas at Houston in May 2024. Prior to medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Oklahoma in May 2016 where she graduated with honors. Dr. Gadson has actively contributed to research initiatives throughout her academic and professional journey. Notably, she conducted research on Cutaneous Endometriosis at the University of Texas at Houston, Department of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Her work focused on a retrospective cohort study aimed at documenting the presentation, diagnosis, and management of cutaneous endometriosis. Additionally, Dr. Gadson participated in research at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Department of Health Behavior and Health Systems in Fort Worth, Texas, from January 2019 to January 2020. Under the guidance of Dr. Wagner, she investigated the intersection of Health Literacy and Maternal Mortality by conducting interviews with new mothers. Her efforts culminated in the development of a Health Literacy curriculum tailored for health professionals, which was adopted by the Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child Health. Dr. Gadson's commitment to advancing women's health through rigorous research and compassionate clinical care exemplifies her dedication to the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
