Biography: Dr. Martina Ayad was born in Egypt and moved to Houston at age 15. Martina frequently says that her father is her inspiration. He was a pharmacist in Egypt and persevered to complete the exams to become a pharmacist in America and Houston. Martina completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry and philosophy at the University of St. Thomas. She attended medical school at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Martina completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB Health). Martina is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Before joining Dr. Rowe and Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates of South Texas, Dr. Ayad was an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She served as the chairperson for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
