Biography: Dr. Nicholas Janocko completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Emory University School of Medicine and completed his Neurology Residency at Emory University Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He was awarded the Master Clinician and Clinical Teaching Award by the residency program. Dr. Janocko chose Neurology and Vascular Neurology as a specialty because of his exposure to stroke and thrombectomy at Grady Memorial Hospital. Seeing patients improve remarkably after this novel treatment, during the time the pivotal clinical trials were being completed, inspired his career goal of treating patients with stroke. He completed his fellowship in Vascular Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He currently has a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, with clinical responsibilities extending to New York-Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Lower Manhattan Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. He is a Registered Physician in Neurovascular Interpretation (RPNI) and is certified to interpret carotid ultrasound and transcranial doppler studies. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association/Stroke, and American Society of Neuroimaging.

Biography: Dr. Meaghan Phipps earned her BS in Behavioral Neuroscience at Lehigh University prior to attending medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she also served as a chief resident. She then completed her Gastroenterology fellowship at NYP Columbia and advanced fellowship training in Transplant Hepatology at NYP Columbia/Cornell. Dr. Phipps's clinical practice is focused on the care and management of patients with liver disease, including viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver diseases, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, and alcohol-associated liver disease. As a transplant hepatologist, she specializes in the care of patients before and after liver transplantation. Dr. Phipps has a particular interest in the care for patients with liver cancer and works alongside her colleagues in surgery, oncology, and interventional radiology in Columbia's multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Program. In addition to clinical medicine, Dr. Phipps has an interest in medical education and serves as the Associate Program Director for the NYP Columbia/Cornell Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program.
