Biography: Dr. Shultz is a board-certified Internist and a Florida native, who received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He ventured out of state, to the city of Chicago, where he completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois in 2017. Dr. Shultz returned to Florida in July 2017 and joined the UCF/HCA Healthcare GME Internal Medicine Residency at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital as core faculty. In 2018, he became the Assistant Program Director for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for the Internal Medicine Residency. He also served as the Transitional Year Program Director at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital.He is excited to join the HCA Florida Lake Monroe family and provide care to the community, as well train the next generation of clinicians. Dr. Shultz is helping launch the new Internal Medicine Residency Program at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital and will serve as the Program Director. When he is not caring for patients or dedicating his time to medical education, Dr. Shultz enjoys going to the movies and visiting Orlando's theme parks with his wife, daughter, and son.
