Biography: Rashid Zaheer Syed, M.D., is a transplant hepatologist with board certification in internal medicine and gastroenterology. After graduating from Aga Khan University Medical College, Dr. Syed completed his internal medicine residency at Westchester Medical Center where he served as the Administrative Chief Resident and earned the Best Overall Resident Award. Dr. Syed then completed a hepatology and transplant hepatology fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Most recently, he was a fellow in gastroenterology at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Throughout this medical career, Dr. Syed has been actively involved in research.
