Biography: Sohail Shah, M.D. is a board-certified Pediatric Surgeon with Greater Houston Pediatric Surgery. Dr. Shah has special interests in gastrointestinal surgery, neonatal surgery, congenital anomalies, and the correction of chest wall abnormalities (pectus excavatum and pectus carinatum). Biography: Dr. Sara Fallon was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After graduating from St. John's School, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in History.Dr. Sara Fallon received her medical degree and completed her residency in General Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. During her residency, she spent two years performing clinical research at Texas Children's Hospital, focusing on quality improvement, patient-centered outcomes, and hospital-wide projects in appendicitis, gastrointestinal diseases, and spontaneous pneumothorax research.During that time, she received a Masters in Clinical Science (MS) at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), focusing on advanced statistics and clinical trial design.After obtaining her MS, Dr. Fallon completed her pediatric surgery fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) and a second fellowship in Pediatric critical care, also at TCH. Dr. Fallon is board-certified pediatric surgeon, receiving her board certifications from the American Board of Surgery in both general and pediatric surgery Dr. Fallon is a physician leader in our practice. In addition to her focus on clinical quality improvement and providing exemplary patient care, she works with hospital partners and additional pediatric subspecialists to provide a multidisciplinary approach from a team offering expertise and experience.When not serving her patients, Dr. Fallon enjoys spending time with her family. As a proud mother of two children, she has a passion for working with and improving the medical outcomes and lives of young patients and families entrusted to her care.
