Biography: Ikjae Lee, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Division of Neuromuscular Medicine. Dr. Lee received his MD from Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea. After moving to United States, he completed residency in Neurology and fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. During his training, he received Outstanding Junior Investigators by American Stroke Association in 2013 and Resident & Fellow member recognition award by American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine in 2016. Dr. Lee joined University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016 as an Assistant Professor in Neurology Department where he served as a Co-Director of ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic focusing on high quality care of ALS and other neuromuscular disease patients. His expertise in clinical neuromuscular medicine fueled his passion in education and research leading to achievement of 2017 Best Abstract Award by American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and 2018 Faculty Teacher of the Year Award selected by University of Alabama at Birmingham Neurology Residents. Finally, Dr. Lee joined Columbia University Department of Neurology, Division of Neuromuscular Medicine, Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Center in 2020 where he will continue his efforts as a clinician-researcher. Dr. Lee is board certified in Neurology, Neuromuscular medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Biography: Dr. Connolly serves as the Byron Stookey Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and the Surgeon-in-Chief of the New York Neurological Institute and the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia Irving Medical Center. He is also the Surgical Director of the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit, caring for patients suffering from the acute effects of both hemorrhagic as well as ischemic stroke. Working as part of an extremely experienced and world-renowned team of critical care and stroke neurologists, as well as interventional radiologists, endovascular neurosurgeons, neuroanesthesiologists, and specialized nurse practitioners, he provides highly personalized, state of the art care for patients with brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, spontaneous hemorrhages, as well as for those patients with carotid stenosis, moyamoya disease, and cerebral ischemia due to atherosclerosis and other vasculopathies. In addition, he serves as the Director of the Cerebrovascular Research laboratory which continues to be at the forefront of biomedical science, bringing the latest discoveries to the operating room and the patient bedside to not only treat but also prevent stroke. Dr. Connolly's special interests include Brain Aneurysms, Arteriovenous Malformations, Carotid Stenosis, EC-IC Bypass for Atheroocclusive disease and moyamoya, and Surgical management of acute cerebrovascular emergencies.

Biography: Dr. McKhann graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Duke University, with Research Honors for his investigations into brain tumor immunobiology. He attended Yale School of Medicine where he was AOA, Cum Laude, a Farr Scholar, and one of five recipients of the medical school's highest thesis award. Dr. McKhann trained in Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington, as well as Atkinson Morley's Hospital in Wimbledon, England. Dr. McKhann combines clinical skill and compassionate care to maximize patient outcomes. He treats patients with a variety of brain conditions including Brain Tumors, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Adult Hydrocephalus, Chiari Malformations, Cavernous Malformations, Trigeminal Neuralgia, and Neurotrauma. His areas of particular technical expertise include microneurosurgery, computer guided stereotactic neuronavigation, intraoperative awake brain mapping, neuroendoscopy, minimally invasive brain surgery, gamma knife radiosurgery, deep brain stimulation, and cerebrospinal fluid shunting.
