It's the ones who demonstrated kindness and empathy - especially in difficult situations - that distinguished themselves in my mind. They shared a respect not only for their patient and family, but for their fellow physicians and nurses. In 2008, I was named physician of the year at CMC-Pineville. \n I am married to Kelly Meek, who is also a doctor. Our family includes our three kids, Meredith, Caroline and Cooper, and two dogs.
