Biography: Dr. Claudio Bravo, MSc, FACC, FESC, FAHA is a cardiologist at Medical City Heart Hospital in Dallas, Texas, specializing in the comprehensive, longitudinal care of patients with all etiologies of cardiovascular conditions, heart failure, and cardiomyopathy, utilizing the latest available medical, surgical and device therapies, including mechanical assist devices and heart transplantation. Dr. Bravo was recruited to Texas as Medical Director of Cardiac Transplantation in the Institute for Advanced Cardiac Care. He has received formal fellowship training and board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and has extensive experience in caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Bravo is an accomplished physician-scientist who has published and served in many top medical journals. Dr. Bravo is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association, among others.

Biography: Raghav Murthy MD, DABS, FACS, FACC joins us from New York. Prior to moving to Dallas, he was Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and Director of the Pediatric Heart Transplantation Program and ECMO at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Heart Center. He has extensive experience treating congenital heart disease in all age groups, neonates, infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. He is also very experienced in temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices and heart transplantation. Under his leadership the pediatric heart transplant program at Mount Sinai was the best in the northeast. Apart from neonatal, infant and adult congenital heart surgery, he has special interest and expertise in pediatric airway surgery and complex lung surgery in children. These include segmental tracheal resections, slide tracheoplasties, complex carinal resections and reconstructions and combined repair of children with concomitant airway and heart defects.Dr. Murthy was born in Bangalore, India. After completing medical school at the prestigious Bangalore Medical College, he pursued his general surgical residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He went on to complete his cardiothoracic surgery residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (St. Paul Hospital, William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, VA North Texas Medical Care System, Children's Medical Center, Dallas). He joined the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery division at Rady Children's Hospital and University of California, San Diego in August 2015. Under the mentorship of Dr. John Lamberti, he performed extensive and complex surgery on neonates, infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. Following this, in 2018, he joined Kravis Children's at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.Dr. Murthy has authored or co-authored more than 65 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 5 editorials, 18 published abstracts, 20 book chapters, more than 10 surgical videos and more than 110 oral and poster presentations at national and international meetings. His clinical and research interests are focused on surgical management of congenital heart disease in people of all age groups, complex neonatal and infant heart surgery, ECMO, mechanical assist devices and transplantation of thoracic organs.
