During her residency, she received awards and research grants, including the Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. This surgical training, largely focused on laparoscopic surgery, including DaVinci robotic surgery, afforded her the opportunity to perform more advanced surgery through a minimally invasive approach allowing women to have shorter hospital stays, faster healing times, and return to their regular daily lives faster. Additionally during this time, she also focused on learning and understanding the many different aspects of pelvic pain and ways treat it. Dr. Garza is a member of several professional organizations, including: American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopy, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association. Biography: Cesar Reyes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a founding member of the Institute for Women's Health. Dr. Reyes received his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Reyes is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Fertility Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society and the Mexican American Physician's Association.Dr. Reyes was the first President of the Institute for Women's Health, and is a founding partner of the Medical Center call group. He is married with three children and two grandchildren. When he is not spending time with his family, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
