She completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. She most recently completed a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Avila's clinical focus is gynecologic malignancies.
