Biography: Diane Cox, MD, is a board-certified surgeon at Richmond Breast Center in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Biology from Texas Christian University, and then went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, School of Medicine. After completing her residency in general surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received the Best Resident Award, she went into private practice in Richmond. She now dedicates her practice to breast surgery.Dr. Diane Cox is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has certifications in breast ultrasound and minimally invasive breast biopsy. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of multiple professional societies including the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She has served on many hospital committees and has held leadership positions, including Chief of Surgery.As a breast surgeon, Dr. Cox specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant breast disease, performs breast cancer operations, and coordinates all aspects of breast cancer care for her patients.In her spare time, she enjoys running, trips to both the beach and mountains, and especially spending time chasing after her gaggle of children.
