Care Philosophy: Dr Chris Guidry is dual board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He serves as a trauma surgeon, general surgeon, and surgical intensivist at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill. He grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Inspired with a passion to help the underserved community, he pursued his medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. There, he began his medical school training at Grady Memorial Hospital in metro Atlanta, GA, treating patients from all areas in the community. He was inducted into the national Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society during his medical school tenure.

Biography: William E. Porter, MD, is a highly skilled surgeon and urogynecologist with many years of experience successfully treating women's health problems. His training and years of experience help him combine the elements of gynecology, urology and pelvic reconstructive surgery to provide patients with the most accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment options available. Dr. Porter has conducted extensive urogynecologic research and trained physicians in the field in advanced urogynecologic surgical techniques. Dr. Porter specializes in minimally invasive surgery to treat pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, cystoceles and uterine prolapse. Dr. Porter is committed to using the latest and most effective treatments available.

Biography: I am a specialty trained surgeon and urogynecologist with experience treating women's health problems, including pelvic organ prolapse, uterine prolapse, cystoceles and rectoceles. I also specialize in treating bothersome bladder issues, including urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. \n Following a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, I completed a three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology). My training combines elements of gynecology, urology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. This allows me to provide comprehensive treatment options that can improve a woman's quality of life. \n When surgery is necessary, I specialize in a minimally invasive approach, which leads to faster recovery, less pain and a shorter hospital stay. I am committed to using the latest and most effective treatments available and to providing exceptional care to my patients. \n My aim is to listen to and work with patients to help them make an informed decision regarding their pelvic health, with a goal of ultimately improving their quality of life.
