Biography: Federico Vinas, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon. After receiving his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, Dr. Vinas went on to complete a neurological surgery residency at Wayne State, Detroit, MI, a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois and a microneurosurgery research fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Dr. Vinas is the director of neurosurgery at AdventHealth Daytona Beach and has more than 20 years of experience working in private practice and as former Chief of Neurosurgery at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL. He has served on numerous medical boards working to better enhance patient care and safety. Throughout his career, Dr. Vinas has presented at more than 150 neurosurgery conferences worldwide and has written over 100 publications and book chapters in the field of neurosurgery.

Biography: Gregory Velat, MD, is a dual-fellowship trained, board-certified neurosurgeon with a passion for exceptional patient care and quality surgical outcomes. He received training in both neurological surgery and neurointerventional surgery from the University of Florida, as well as advanced training in open cerebrovascular/skull-base surgery at the top, nationally ranked, Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona under the mentorship of world renowned, Robert Spetzler, MD. Dr. Velat enjoys challenging cranial and spinal surgeries and is an advocate for an initial conservative approach to neurosurgical pathology. During his tenure as Medical Director of Spine Surgery at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, his leadership played a vital role in achieving the Gold Seal of Approval for Spinal Surgery by the Joint Commission. He is an active member in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgery and the Florida Neurosurgical Society and has authored many peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters.
